As one would expect, he values efficiency and accuracy over guns blazing he’s capable of accomplishing more with just his wits and pistol than Ironhide is with his all of his vast array of weaponry. While incredibly skilled with a firearm, Prowl is not heavily armed, normally carrying only a photon pistol.

He carries a Tungsten alloy nightstick for such encounters, a holdover from his patrolling days. In spite of his brusque nature, Prowl's ego is indeed well-deserved he is without question the most capable soldier aboard the Ark and has saved the chassis of his comrades many times over.Īs a police officer, Prowl was trained in multiple forms of close-quarters combat and can bring most bots to submission one way or another, especially when caught unawares. He even finds many of Optimus Prime’s actions as leader to be counterproductive or needlessly sentimental, though he’d never tell him to his face - true to his military nature, Prowl always follows his commander’s orders, even when he doesn’t necessarily agree with them. This comes across quite clearly in his curt, stern and often downright disparaging demeanor. Deep down, Prowl resents most of his teammates, seeing them as ineffectual and soft. Normally such a job entails protecting the rest of the crew from the occasional ragtag group of space pirates or quelling dangerous alien lifeforms, but Prowl now finds his work cut out for him in organizing a campaign against the ruthless and efficient Decepticons.

He served for more than two centuries as lieutenant of the Iacon precinct of the Cybertron Autotrooper Police Force before accepting an offer as the Ark’s security officer and combat tactician.
